How to set up Plesk SMTP
- Plesk → Mail → Create Email Address.
- App settings: host mail.yourdomain.com (or server hostname), port 465 SSL/TLS, username = full address, password = mailbox password.
Sending limits
- Plesk Outgoing Mail Control caps messages per hour per mailbox, domain and subscription (defaults are low, e.g. 100/hour, and configurable by the server admin).
Things that catch people out
- Plesk on a cloud VPS inherits the provider's port-25 block — outbound relay is needed for server-originated mail.
