How to set up Brevo (Sendinblue) SMTP
- Senders, Domains & Dedicated IPs → add and authenticate your domain (Brevo code + DKIM TXT).
- SMTP & API → SMTP → Generate a new SMTP key.
- App settings: host smtp-relay.brevo.com, port 587, STARTTLS, username = login email, password = SMTP key.
Sending limits
- Free plan: 300 emails per day with Brevo branding; Starter from about $9/month for 5,000/month without the daily cap.
- Sender addresses/domains must be validated; DKIM/DMARC records via Senders & Domains.
Things that catch people out
- New accounts need activation by Brevo before SMTP works; until then 535 errors appear.
