- AOL account → Account Security → Generate app password → copy it.
- App settings: host smtp.aol.com, port 465 SSL/TLS (or 587 STARTTLS), username = full address, password = app password.
Sending limits
- Roughly 500 messages per day and 100 recipients per message.
- From must be the AOL address.
Things that catch people out
- AOL also enforces DMARC p=reject — never send "from" an @aol.com address through another provider.
